Modular Penetrant Plant
for Post Emulsifiable or Water Washable Fluorescent Penetrant Processing
Penetrant Immersion Tank / Remover Tank
Size: Pentron 6 systems, 600 x 600 x 400mm
deep.
Pentron 9 systems, 915 x
915 x 600mm deep.
Welded stainless steel construction in 40mm
square, stainless steel box section frames, to a working height of 900mm.
The tanks have hinged drainage grills and lids. An additional protective
grill is in the bottom of the tank.
Drain / Rest Stations
These often
neglected intermediate modules can increase throughput significantly.
Comprising stainless steel drip trays with grills, the bases are angled to
allow cleaning and drainage to a front corner. Tray dimensions are as the
standard surfaces, but only 300mm deep. Available in straight runs, or
with 90° bends.
Rinse Tank / Wash Station
Identical
is specification to the penetrant tank, with stainless steel splash backs
and sides to a height of 1500mm. No lid required. Air/water or water only
spray gun, pressure and temperature gauges included. Option: Canopy
consisting of a frame, supporting flame resistant light-proof curtains and
UV-A lighting.
Drying Ovens / Hot Air Driers
Thermostatically
controlled hot air types, with heaters rated as required. Either Top
loading, Front loading, or Through type, with stainless steel drip trays
fitted, if deemed necessary. Standard nine point temperature survey
provided on installation. All types are of painted, mild steel
construction.
Developer Stations / Powder Storms
Stainless
steel construction, powder storm type with automatic powder extraction and
return unit. A timed cycle does not allow access by the operator during a
cycle. Either Top loading, Front loading, or Through type cabinets are
available.
Inspection booths
Walk-In booth:
1200W x 2250H x 1700D, box section framed with sheet steel roof and back,
complete with flame retardant curtains on all sides. Fully equipped with
overhead white strip tubes, extractor fan, power points, table with 1200 x
600mm ribbed rubber mat and a 100W UV-A hand-held inspection lamp.
Small booth: 915W x 2000H x 600D
complete with table, 900mm working height and hood containing viewing
window and 100W UV-A lamp, with front access for work piece manipulation.
Processing Baskets
Available to suit
customer requirements.
Bund Tanks
Stainless steel construction designed to
contain 150% total wet tank content.
Filtration Systems
Used to remove penetrant and remover from
rinse water are available, and specified on request.
Vactron Vacuum Drying Ovens
If an
aqueous process is used to pre-clean work pieces prior to penetrant
application, it is vitally important to dry them thoroughly, as water is
the most commonly encountered surface contaminant. VACTRON ovens leave
work pieces ideally prepared for penetrant application.
Conveyors, Overhead Cranage and
Automatic Application
The systems may be used manually, with
conveyors, overhead cranage, or automated as required.
Pentron Spray Booths
Both Wet and Dry
penetrant process application are also available.
