Ultrasonic
Thickness
Gauges &
Flaw Detectors

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges have found ready applications in a wide variety of industries where the effect of corrosion or abrasion needs to be measured, and statutory requirements met. They are essential tools for Plant Maintenance Engineers or Engineering Surveyors and Quality Control and Assurance Applications where it is important to confirm that dimensions are within specified limits.

Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors similarly have a wide application and are used for detecting and sizing defects in a wide variety of metal alloy components and other materials which are transparent to ultrasound.

Baugh & Weedon NDT manufactures a range of ultrasonic thickness gauges, which meet the vast majority of inspection requirements and a portable ultrasonic flaw detector suitable for most training and engineering applications.

For increased accuracy, the Teledictor range of Thickness Gauges can measure down to 1 micron and offers the testing of a greater range of materials.

Ultrasonic
Specialist
Instruments

A simple to operate hand-held instrument that identifies pipes containing water. Generally it is for use in the Gas and Water service industries on old cast iron or spun iron pipes. It generates ultrasound that travels more readily in water than in gas and this is used to trigger the positive response.

The Baugh & Weedon NDT PIPECHECK 2 (Water Pipe Verifier) fulfills this requirement.

Eddy Current
Instruments

These instruments from Teledictor complement the range of equipment offered by Baugh & Weedon NDT. Innovative design solutions using eddy currents, are a hallmark of Teledictor. Typical applications include; automatic crack detection systems, identification of mixed materials within a batch and detection of faulty heat treatment.
