A simple to operate hand-held instrument that identifies pipes containing water. Generally it is for use in the Gas and Water service industries on old cast iron or spun iron pipes. It generates ultrasound that travels more readily in water than in gas and this is used to trigger the positive response. The Baugh & Weedon NDT PIPECHECK 2 (Water Pipe Verifier) fulfills this requirement. |
