Chemical Etching	Chemical Etching of work pieces is applied in a number of circumstances. It is an established technique used for inspection, in preparation prior to other forms of testing, such as penetrant inspection, or cleaning before painting, plating, or other processing. Liquid Penetrant Inspection	Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) is widely used for detecting surface defects in non-porous solid surfaces. Work pieces include those made of alloys, ceramics, glass and some plastics. LPI plant can take many forms, from a simple system, to a composite installation offering various levels of sensitivity and process method. Magnetic Particle Inspection	Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) is an established technique for detecting surface defects in ferro-magnetic materials. Baugh & Weedon NDT manufactures a comprehensive range of benches, power packs, demagnetising coils and ancillary equipment for use in MPI.
Ultrasonic Cleaning Systems	Ultrasonic cleaning is recognised in many industries because it is fast, efficient, simple to use, and is a safe aqueous based method. Ultrasonic tanks have generators that produce high intensity bubbles. The bubbles clean precisely by penetrating to all internal and external parts of a work piece, and effectively displace all types of surface dirt and debris. Baugh & Weedon NDT a full range of Industrial and laboratory sized tanks. Small standard sized tanks are generally available from stock, but larger tanks are manufactured to order.
Vacuum Drying Ovens	Conventional drying can be a slow process following aqueous cleaning. A vacuum drying oven, however, can reduce drying times substantially, and is ideally suited to the preparation process particularly prior to Liquid Penetrant Inspection.
