Etchtron

The ETCHTRON chemical etching plant is designed individually to a specific requirement. The range of chemical etching processes is quite wide, their nature and chemical concentrations vary, work piece shapes and sizes, available factory floor space, and access are always unique considerations.

Construction of an ETCHTRON chemical etching plant, is usually entirely in stainless steel. However, where very aggressive chemicals are involved, the tanks are either internally coated, or manufactured entirely from an appropriate chemically resistant material. Similar chemically resistant materials are used as standard when manufacturing associated fume extraction systems.

Chemical etching of work pieces is applied in a number of circumstances, eg. for inspection, preparation prior to other forms of testing such as penetrant inspection, or cleaning before painting, plating, or other processing, and it is well established.
