The AUDIT ST-1 is a shot-timer for use on a Magnetic Particle Inspection bench. It is used to accurately measure the duration of a magnetising shot. The instrument will work equally for current flow, coil and flux flow magnetising methods. If the bench is equipped for dual shots, i.e. 2 x 1 second, the unit will measure and display the primary shot time, the gap time, and the secondary shot time. Additionally, the AUDIT ST-1 will display the magnetising waveform of a particular shot, be it AC, HWDC or FWDC. This is particularly useful to act as confirmation that the bench is in fact, producing the expected waveform.

The AUDIT ST-1 is a micro-controller based precision instrument, housed in a rigid injection moulded plastic case, with front panel membrane ensuring environmental protection to IP65. The unit uses hall-effect sensors to measure the shot characteristics. Other features include low battery indication and auto power off.
